Goldingham Drive Community Services
About our Pre-School
Goldingham Drive Community Pre-school is an inclusive pre-school offering children and their families a service which promotes equality and values diversity. The pre-school was registered in March 2010 following a change of ownership from the pre-school which open in 1973. The pre-school is led by the manager who has worked at the setting since 1999 and overseen the everyday practice of the setting since 2006.
We share the use of Goldingham Hall and fenced play area with the local community. The hall is in a quiet location set within a large grassed area, we are close to John Ray Infant School where the majority of our children will leave us to start school.
All areas of the hall are easily accessible, with parking outside the building.
The pre-school provides care and education for children aged from 2 years to rising 5s in a diverse and stimulating environment where they learn valuable life skills through play, whilst following the Curriculum Guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Every child is assigned a Key person who will work with you and your child to support their individual needs.
As an approved provider we offer Free Early Education Entitlement for eligible Two year olds in addition to the Free Early Education Entitlement for Three to Five year olds. We are committed to ensuring that all children who are eligible for funded childcare have the opportunity to access the full 15 hours available.
Our staff have over 40 years combined childcare experience, they are highly trained and continually updating their qualifactions to enhance professional development. To support childrens individual needs we have four trained Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators, plus an Equality Named Co-ordinator and use Makaton and visual supports daily. Specialisms of the setting include training and experience supporting children with Autism, Down Syndrome, Medical and/or Physical needs, Allergies, Early Language Development, Behaviour, Safeguarding and First Aid.
